Overall the kit worked very well; however, I believe the price could be lower and they should offer the ability to buy only the cables you truly need. It is wasteful as I expect most people would only end up using one of the two audio cables. I needed the mini toslink cable as well as the extended power cord. Since Apple does not seem to provide the power cord separately, I ended up purchasing this kit.
Look around and save yourself some money. The quality is good and matches other white components.HOWEVER There are cheaper options on amazon and elsewhere.
Hey, you can get it cheaper.but monster cable for the Airport has everything you need and you know it's goin work.
I can connect one box via optical cable to the main home stereo. Packaged as multiple options for one solution, this is actually a package of several solutions. So look at the price as providing 2 functioning cables, not one. I can use a second RCA-style cable to connect the box in the kitchen to the A/V receiver there. I use multiple Apple Airport Express boxes to extend my wireless network and to play iTunes around the house. With this package, several cables are included to make sure you get the connection you need.
Doh. I realized quickly I had spent way too much money when I ended up putting all of the cables except for the digital one back in the box and putting in storage.
